Meet "In the Garden".
This card is a stamp and stencil set by LDRS Creative. I was somewhat confused when I received it as it is not what I am used to working with as far as stencils are concerned.
However, after a bit of time I figured it out and proceeded with stamping the impression using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, then stenciling on the colours. I used Pinkfresh Inks in Berrylicious and Passion Fruit along with Storm.
For the leaves I used Pinkfresh Ink in Grassy Knoll and for the flower centres I used Copic markers in Y08. I also used a Copic to go around the stamped image in B01.
While stenciling I tried to keep the tips of the flowers and leaves lighter than the rest of the colours. I like the look of this, even though in real life that is not always the case.
I proceeded with the stenciling until I had completed all the leaves and flowers to the image. I then trimmed my card piece and attached it to a 6 x 4.5 inch Neenah cardbase.
Inside the card I attached a partially stamped piece of the image on to Hammermill cardstock, then attached this to the cardbase.
I then stamped the sentiment, which was a free set from my Scrapbook store, using VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne.
This took awhile to finish, as the stencil is quite different, but now that I know how it goes it will be quicker next time.
Thanks so much for visiting with me today. I do hope you have enjoyed today's card.
See you next time.
