Meet "Without You".
I made this card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com today. I love this Bear which is from Colorado Craft Company. Just too cute! We are visiting Rikumo Japan Made today where I was inspired by this.
I decided I would kick it up a bit by using Spellbinders Club Rosette Burst embossing folder for the front and inside my card. I would normally use bright colours with this folder.
But for this card I am using Distress Oxide inks in Black Soot, Villainous Potion and Shaded Lilac covering the front cover entirely.
I also changed it up a bit by attaching the front cover with the Black Soot at the top, and on the inside I have the Black Soot at the bottom.
Using Copics I coloured using the following colours: C5, C7; R81, RV00; and YG13, YG17. The R81 is on the pads of the Bear's feet and the RV00 is on his tummy.
To the backgrounds I splattered with water then using a clean paper towel to soak up the excess water.
I die cut the Bear along with the sentiment attaching the Bear to my card front on foam squares. I die cut the sentiment and attached it over the Bear's head using foam squares. I added white gel pen on his nose and for his eyes.
Inside the card as I mentioned I have the black soot at the bottom of this page. I glued in place a few bamboo pieces that I coloured and die cut along with the sentiment, which I glued in place.
**As a note I did not have any grey paper - like who does that eh! I found 2 pieces of very thin cardstock, but they were way to thin to use as a base, so I glued the two pieces together. It ended up working very well, I can't tell that there are two pieces of cardstock. Just something to keep in mind when all else fails!
Thank you for visiting.
See you next time.
