Embrace this Moment Two

This is "Embrace this Moment Two".

I seem to be on a butterfly kick of late. Butterflies are fun to make, no matter the style you want. Today's Butterfly is a bit of a mess, which is why it was so fun!

A lot of different colours, being reds, yellows, greens, blue, oranges and of course black. I used Daniel Smith watercolours to paint this.

I had to add the splatters, some painted splatters and others the usual splatter. But no white today, it would just fall into the background.

My card is a small card which I made from a piece of left over Arches Cold Press watercolour paper. It is 4.5 wide by 4.0 high.

For the inside I traced the butterfly a bit, and added some colour. Once dry I stamped the sentiment, which I also did on the front of the card.

I painted around the edges of the butterfly using several layers of Payne's Grey watercolour. I also painted the thorax using the Payne's Grey. There are two pieces to this but just the top one is painted, the bottom thorax is black.

This is the inside of the card stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.

Thanks so much for visiting with me today. I do hope you enjoy this little butterfly. No butterfly tomorrow, I promise!
