We are hopping over on the Scrap'n Stamp blog today, which is what I made this card for. The name of our hop is Bugs and Butterflies, so be prepared to see some beautiful butterflies/bugs.

Now, back to my card.
For my card I used Sizzix Butterflies Mini. My background is done using distress oxide inks in Faded Jeans and Stormy Sky for a smooshed background. I added Visible Image Mesh ellaneous images for interest.
The butterflies I coloured using Copic markers as follows: B04, B16, Y08, Y06, Y35 and YR07. The background is coloured using B39.
I then attached the card background to my Neenah cardbase. To my design I added Metallic Confetti and Black Magic confetti.
I also bent the butterflies at the body to lift the wings for further dimension.
This style of card is unusual for me to make, but I certainly did enjoy this change of pace. Once finished with the details on the card front I turned my attention to the inside of the card which I kept simple.
Using the same inks I did another smooshed background, and stamped a sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Twilight and added another butterfly that I had made.

I also like how you bent the wings up for dimensions. I always decorate the inside of my cards and I like the idea of smooshing ink on the inside too.
