Butterflies Pop

Meet "Butterflies Pop".

This card I made for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com today. My inspiration comes from this jumpsuit. The peak of colours reminded me of the peaks left from the butterfly cuts.

This die is by Waffle Flower Crafts and called Pop-up Butterflies Panel. The card ideas for this die are endless I think, but for today I started by using Black Onyx cardstock from Gina K Designs.

I first made the butterfly piece by die cutting an imprint of the butterflies on a piece of white Hammermill cardstock. I then coloured the butterflies, 3 in each colour, using Copic fluorescent colours.
I made a cardbase using the Black Onyx card, attached the die cut black panel using Art Glitter glue and made a frame to finish the card front.

I added a black cut piece of card along with a Neenah white card to the inside of my card to receive the sentiment when I figure out what I want to use.

I love the bright happy colours peaking through the die cut butterflies, it has such a cute look. When you colour using the fluorescent Copic colours, you actually cover more area than just the butterflies, which ensures that the butterflies are all covered.

The extra colour does not show given the dark paper.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed this card.

See you next time.
