Spring in a Boot

It is time for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com and today we are painting rain boots that are planted with spring flowers! Too cute.

I used Daniel Smith watercolours to paint my boot, then added the flowers and greens. I struggled with the flowers, they just would not do what I wanted them to do! Irritating to say the least.

Alas, I moved on to the greens using different colours of green. The boot looked lonely to me, so I added wonky sized white dots using Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White watercolour.

For my watercolour I used Fabriano Hot Press watercolour paper. I attached the finished painting to my cardbase where I used Gina K Designs Turquoise Sea.

I think this would make a great general card celebrating spring sent to a friend, which is what I will do. Even with my stuggles, it still is a sweet card,

Thanks so much for stopping by.

See you next time.
