Holly Christmas

This is "Holly Christmas".

I did this card for the Inspiration challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. Julie is our hostess this week and she has us visiting Crafting My Home where I found this as my inspiration.
For my card I am using an image by Penny Black called Holly Berry Branch. In my mini Misti I stamped the image using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. I then proceeded to watercolour.

My choice in watercolour is Daniel Smith watercolours in Hookers Green, Serpentine Genuine, Sap Green and Deep Sap Green. For the berries I used Pyrrol Scarlett and Alizarin Crimson.
When the piece was dry I added splatters using the Pyrrol Scarlett and white Gouache. I then stamped the sentiment using Catherine Pooler Cranberry Fizz ink.

When all was dry I matted the watercolour piece with Gina K Design Sweet Bazzil cardstock and attached it to my Neenah cardbase.
I trimmed out the inside with the matching papers to the front, except to replace the Arches with Hammermill cardstock.

I then went back and checked the berries to make sure I had left a highlight. Some I did not so I went back in with my white gel pen and finished the task.

Thank you for visiting with me today. I hope you have enjoyed this card.

See you next time.
