Chilly Days

Meet "Chilly Days".

This stamp set, and a few others were being held hostage by Canada Post for 8 business days. Yep, in their ultimate wisdom they decided to do a delivery safety assessment in this neighbourhood.
For that, they hold your mail at the main terminal, which is quite the jaunt for people who do not drive, like me, and by bus it is quite the trip. We are not known for our stellar bus service.

In any event, I had to wait it out. I was not running out to the post office. Did I know what this assessment was - not even the postal workers knew what it was when I phoned to inquire. What I did know what that it was an awful thing to do at this time of year, and there are no issues with residence in my building.
So I was "mightily" relieved when they released us from the hijacking and I received all the mail they had been holding. Some beautiful Christmas cards and three packages - of which this stamp set was in one.

I think it is so darn cute, and it makes me smile. I made a winter card using Copic markers, and colouring on Hammermill cardstock. The cute stamp set is Penny Black Chilly Days.
My Copic colours are for Snowman, B000 and B00 with B02 outline. The left scarf set is B02 and B04; the right scarf sset is Y15 and Y18 as is the nose on both; the cheeks are R22; the two birds are E50, E35 and R27.

I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair Ink in Blue Belle.
The background designer paper is by Simple Stories and called Winter Wonderland, which I matted with a navy blue cardstock. I very much like this set, it has a lot that I will actually use!

So that is my card for today, and I hope you have enjoyed it. This was a joy to make.

See you next time.
