Spoon Daisy

This is "Spoon Daisy".

This card I have painted for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. Today we are visiting Botanica Provincetown, which has a lot to inspire one. When I saw this piece I knew immediately what I wanted to do.

To paint, as I mentioned I am using Fabriano Hot Press watercolour paper along with Daniel Smith watercolours in two colours only, Serpentine Genuine and Phthalo Blue (red shade).

The embossing folder is from Altenew and is called "Spoon Daisy". I kept my design with an abstract feel to it, only because it is my favourite way to paint.
I did all the blue colour first, but I confess I did not wait for it to dry. My thought was it would not matter much if I got some of the blue mixed in with the green, and I was right.

When applying the Serpentine Genuine I kept it loose using more water than I usually would.
Before applying the splatters I did allow the piece to dry, so the splatters would look like splatters! For this purpose I used gold watercolour and white watercolour.

Once all was dry I attached the piece to a Gina K Design navy cardbase, then attached the sentiment, which is by Creative Expressions, using thin foam squares.
Thank you for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed this card.

See you next time.
