Flower Explosion

This is "Flower Explosion".

And Flower Explosion is also the name of the stencil that I used for today's watercolour challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com.
The challenge for today is to use a stencil to watercolour. You can find the video here. I am using a stencil from A Colorful Life Design called Flower Explosion along with Arches cold press watercolour paper.

To watercolour I am using Daniel Smith colours in Pyrrol Scarlett and Alizarin Crimson. When all was dry I splattered my card with Dr. Ph. Martin's White Bleedproof watercolour and again waited for the card to dry.I then attached the watercolour piece to a red card base and glued in place using Art Glitter glue. When I started the card I used a piece of watercolour paper large enough to give me the outside plus the inside, being sure to bring the design down far enough for the inside card panel.

From the red cardstock I die cut two of the Noel sentiments, then one in silver glitter for the top piece and attached them to my card front, again using Art Glitter glue.

This was fun to do, it has been some time since I have watercoloured using a stencil.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed this card.

See you next time.
