Sweet Friend

 

Introducing "Sweet Friend".

I made this card to share on the Scrap'n Stamp blog today. I am smitten with this beautiful stamp set from Altenew called Precious Peony. For this card I have used two of the images included in the set.

To colour I used Copic markers, only using 5 markers on Hammermill cardstock! That is a first for me to use so few markers to colour with. The images speak for themselves, so pretty much any colour combination will work.

My Copic colours are R35 and R27; and YG05, YG06 and YG07. How simple is that?

Once I was finished with the colouring I cut the images out and set them aside. 

Using Hammermill cardstock I embossed two pieces, one for the background and one for inside the card. Using a Altenew Embossing Folder called Garden Harmony, which I added to the card using glue.

I then stamped the sentiments (x2) using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, which are from a Pinkfresh Stamp set called Heart Smiles. To the edges of each of the sentiments I applied red Copic marker.

Next was arranging the bouquet, and this arrangement is included with the stamp set. I glued the right piece in place just under the flower, then attached the left flower using foam squares.

To finish I glued the sentiment in place on the card front, as well as inside the card.
