June 2023 A Colorful Life Design Release

Welcome all to our June 2023 Release for A Colorful Life Design. This is such a fun release, I have little doubt it will be enjoyed by all.

Don't forget when visiting the store to use my discount code KiaFan10 for 10% off your purchase.

You will find that this is another fabulous release with stencils and two (2) stamp sets. Following are the cards I have made for this release, which I hope you enjoy. I have also included links to the store as well as links to the stencils and stamps I have used.

The above card is acutally the first card I made. As soon as I saw these stencils, Fancy Palm and Tail Up I knew I wanted to do something like this design.

I used distress oxide inks to stencil with in Salty Ocean for the sea, Hickory Smoke and Lost Shadow for the Whale, alog with Nuvo Glitter Gloss, the sand is Antique Linen, the tree is Walnut Stain and Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint.

I stamped the Chasing the Sun stamp set using VersaFine Clair ink in Blue Belle.
Up next is Oh, Bite Me. Giggles. This card was fun to make. I inked up the Coral Reef Stencil with Abandoned Coral distress oxide ink, being sure to cover the complete stencil with a lot of ink. I then sprayed with water, just enough to activate the ink, then added my card over the stencil, allowing it the time necessary to soak up the ink.

For the few spots that were not full I put down some of the ink on my work surface, picking it up with a paint brush and applied it to the missed areas.

I then stamped the fish using Memento Ink on Hammermill card and coloured with Copics in R32, R20 and C3. I added a few white mats, then attached the stencil piece to my card. I fussy cut the fish and attached him using foam squares. To finish I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
Meet Bubbly Waves. I used Salty Ocean distress oxide ink with this stencil on a 5.5 x 5.5 inch piece of Hammermill card. I then flicked on a mixture of Perfect Pearls and water and set the piece aside to dry.

Using Memeto Ink I stamped the Dragonfly by Honey Bee stamps and coloured using Copics in B18, B12 and B39. I attached the Bubbly Waves piece to a Neenah cardbase. I die cut the Dragonfly with the coordinating die and attached with foam squares.

To finish up I stamped the sentiment from the Oh, Bite Me stamp set and added a few Pinkfresh Ombre gems.
This is "Layered Mermaid". For my stencil colouring I used Salvaged Patina, Evergreen Bough and Lucky Clover. I then painted over the Mermaid using Nuvo Aqua Shimmer in Midas Touch. I am using Gina K Design Turquoise Sea cardstock. For matting I sponged on Lucky Clover to a piece of Hammermill card, then put the card together.

I added the Studio Katia Gold Sparkle Crystals along the water movement, and stamped the sentiment from the Chasing the Sun stamp set using VersaFine Clair ink in Warm Breeze.
This stencil is "Wave Cloud", and I really like it. I used Stormy Sky and Tumbled Glass distress oxide inks for stenciling then added in Ranger Pigment ink in Glacier White to add the wave look to the stencil. I did this using Waffle Flower Shader Brush 1.

For the "awesome" sentiment I stamped using Iced Spruce distress oxide inks and die cut with the coordinating die. I then stamped the "you are using VersaFine Clair ink in Twilight and went around the edges using Copic B39.
This stencil is "Mr. Bubble", which I love. To colour I used Fossilized Amber, Cracked Pistachio and Salvaged Patina. I then splatter with water to activate the inks.

Once dry I attached the piece to a Gina K Design card base in Turquoise Sea, and finished by stamping the sentiment from Stampendous using VersaFine Clair ink in Warm Breeze and adding a few sequins.

An easy quick card.
This is "Turtle Bay" stencil. For this card I made a Flying Seagull Fun Fold card, which seemed appropriate some how.

I stenciled the Turtles using the Waffle Flower Shader Brush 1 along with Chipped Sapphire, Prize Ribbon and Evergreen Bough. For the rocks I used Pumice Stone.

I went around the Turtles using Copic B000 to finish.
Next up is "Tropic Flowers". I used Texture Paste in Opaque Matte for this 5.5x5.5 square card and set it aside to dry.

I then painted the texture paste using Winsor Newton watercolour in Violet, adding more pigment as needed and again set it aside to dry. I then added the splatters and the gems from Pinkfresh Design called Lavender Jewels. To finish up I stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Clair ink Fantasia and went around the outside with Copic V17, then propped it up on foam strips.
I have to say I absolutely love this ink, which is Pinkfresh Candy Apple, which I have applied to A Colorful Life Design stencil "Double Ginger Flowers".

I wanted to keep this card fresh and crisp, so I only added a few Pinkfresh Ruby gems along with the sentiment from Honey Bee stamps die cut with the coordinating die.
I love this card too! I think it is the colours, so pretty. Here I am using "Lush Flower" on Neenah 110lb card. My colours are Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin and Barn Door distress oxide inks.

My sentiment is from the Oodles Stamp set which is stamped using Pinkfresh Ink in Clementine. I also went around the edges of the sentiment using Copic YR04 and finished with a few sequins.
On this card I am using Monstera Leaves, along with overstamping with a script stamp. I used Evergreen Bough, Lucky Clover and Rustic Wilderness for my colours. I also used Abandoned Coral to stencil another one of the leaves, then fussy cut it out and stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Clair Nocturne before attaching to the card base, which is from Gina K Design called Turquoise Sea.

To finish I added a few sequins.
This is my last card to share with you today. Another card I just love, and yes, it is the colours once again. For this card I am using Layered Pineapples 1 and 2, and Pineapple. I used Pinkfresh Inks in Sunshine, Clementine, Passion Fruit, Ocean Breeze, Persimmon, Mermaid Cove and Emerald City. Phew - a lot of colours for this.

I fussy cut the large Pineapple and propped it up on my Neenah card base using foam squares, then added a die cut "Enjoy" coloured with Copic G09. I outlined the Pineapple using Copic Y08.

I then added a few gems in various colours to finish the card.

  1. The words in those stamps are so popular now and since so many people are "beach" people, at least a lot of my friends are, they'd love these cards.
