Happy Bows

Meet "Happy Bows".

When I saw this die set by Picket Fence Studios it was a had to have, I mean a bow for everything, what could be better? So the first design had to include as many bows as possible.
I managed to include 13 bows, although 3 are behind the sentment, but they are there! First up was to die cut the bows from Hammermill cardstock.

I then applied the inks to a piece of Hammermill cardstock using Pinkfresh Inks in Passion Fruit, Apricot, Sweet Mustard and Meadow, applying on an angle for interest.
I added the colours to the bows as I was gluing them on the card so they would match the colour of the card base.

As I wanted the sponged card piece to pop I matted using Gina K Design Black Onyx cardstock, and attached it to a Neenah cardbase.
For the sentiment I stamped the Avery Elle Happy Birthday sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne, matted the piece in Gina K Design Black Onyx card and glued in place on the card front.

For the inside of my card I cut two pieces of the same cardstock pieces, being the black and white and glued them in place.
To finish I added flat sequins in different colours around the card.

Another card for my stash of Birthday cards, which are always in need.

Thank you for joining me today.

See you next time.

  1. I love the colours and the all the bows. I can tell you spend many hours on the card. Someone is going to be lucky when they receive the card.
