Watercolour Flower

Hello all! It is time for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com. This week we are watching a video by Kristy Rice where she shows how she used one brush to paint a fun flower.

She made it appear easy, but I struggled with this technique a bit. Still, it was worth a go, not all styles suit all people.

What I very much liked in the video was all the different colours she used to paint her flower. I used my Daniel Smith palette, so had many of the colours Kristy mentioned.

I am using Arches Cold Press watercolour paper along with my beautiful Escoda brush #12, which has a beautiful tip that I used.

To finish up I signed using my #4 Escoda brush in the dark colour of Indanthrone Blue, one of the colours I used in the painting.

Other colours are Daniel Smith Manganese Blue, Ultramarine Violet, Sap Green, Green Apatite Genuine, Quinacridone Pink, Phthalo Blue (Green Shade), Rhodonite Genuine and Permanent Orange.

Thanks so much for visiting today.

See you next time.
