A Note

Meet "A Note".

I suppose I should have given this a bird name, but my imagination seems to have left me presently. No doubt it will return!
This alcohol background I did a couple of days back when I did a couple of other ones. I used the same colours, the Sailboat Blue, Dandelion and Limeade, mixing differently than I did on the last piece.

I have let the piece dry for several days as I knew I wanted to dry emboss the piece, which I have done using Altenew's Loving Birds. I ran the folder through my Gemini Jr. x2 to ensure a good impression.

Using Spellbinders Glitter Foam sheet I added in a piece of Spellbinders Glitter Foam sheet to prop up the embossing under the Yupo paper, cutting the foam to fit just the birds and gluing in place.

I did this as Yupo paper is somewhat flimsy, hence I did not want the bird shapes to be lost. Having the foam underneath ensures that during mailing the shape will remain.

I had cut the Yupo before applying the ink using the Die-namics Wonky rectangle die, which saves the die from the alcohol ink - something I have not always remembered to do!

In finishing I die cut the sentiment from Picket Fence Studios. It normally says "A Little Note", but I left out the "little" for my card.

That is is for today. I hope you have enjoyed this card, it was a fun one to make.

Thanks so much for joining me.
