Enjoy Today

Meet "Enjoy Today".

I have had this stamped, die cut and ready to colour on my desk for at least a week. So much to do and so little time to do it!
Through that time however I was thinking about colours. I know I wanted to do the background using Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade distress oxide inks, but that was it.

So I went ahead and did the smooshed background using Tim Holtz watercolour paper. I also have two hearts hidden in the background, wanting them to be very subtle.
This set is by Pinkfresh and I loved the openess of the flower petals along with the surrounding little flowers and leaves. Along with the stamp set, die set it also has a coordinating stencil.

To colour I decided on Copic markers in YR68, YR02, YR65 and YR61; Leaves in G05, G03 and G02; Flower centre in Y04; surrounding flowers in BV13, and BV11.
To put it all together I attached the background piece to my Neenah card base using Art Glitter glue, then added some weight to keep it in place while it dried.

I then styled the flowers and once the background was dry I arranged them in the bottom left corner, using thick foam squares to regular foam squares to change the height of each on the card.
Once the flowers were in place in my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment from another Pinkfresh set using VersaFine Clair ink in Fantasia.

To finish I added light purple pearls around the flowers.

On the inside I added another piece of Neenah card and used the two pieces I cut from the sides of the bacground, which are 1/4 inch wide each. So I just have them running down the left side, plus the sentiment in the centre.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it. Following are Affiliate links for the products used, at no extra cost to you.
