Oh Christmas Trees

Introducing "Oh Christmas Trees".

It is also that time for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com, and this week we are visiting Paper Heart Design Pinterest page. I picked this scene for inspiration.

I made three trees for today, using different colours and slightly different designs on each card. This blue card happens to be my favourite, but I do like the others too.
For all of these cards I am using Trinity Stamps Christmas hot foil plate and die. I started all the cards with a smooshed background, which I did using Gansai Pearl colours in the gold, green and red. This card has the gold background.

This blue tree card is made using cobalt blue mirror with the gold hot foil paper. I die cut a second tree from gold glitter cardstock, as shadow and attached it to the back of the blue tree. I attached the background smooshed piece to my Neenah cardbase, then attached the tree using foam tape.

To finish I added gold gems by Studio Katia.
For my second card I did the hot foil process on Gina K Design Applemint cardstock using the green foil. The smooshing is done using the same method as above with the green Pearl colour on Neenah cardstock. I attached the smooshed panel to the Gina K Applemint cardstock, then attached the tree using foam tape.

For the sentiment I die cut the Merry Chirstmas from Tonic Sugar Crystal cardstock and attached over the tree using foam squares on both ends. I then added three gems from the Christmas Carnival Buttons Galore mix.
And to finish this card I attached the stamped and die cut bow which is from Photoplay to the top of the tree.

And finally, my red tree card.
This was the first card I made using the red foil. It is so pretty in real life. I had my temperature on medium and set the timer to 25 seconds. There were some spots that did not transfer, so I inreased the timer to 30 seconds.

First I smooshed a white piece of  Neenah cardstock using the red from the Gansai Pearl set. After drying the piece I spritzed water on the backside and ran the piece via the Sizzix Embossing Winter Snowflakes through my Gemini Jr.
To my A2 card made with Gina K Design Red Velvet cardstock, I added the embossed piece. I then applied foam tape to the back of the tree and attached it to the card.

To finish up I added Studio Katia gems along with Spellbinders red gems. I decided I wanted more gems on the tree, so my sentiment would be on the inside of the card.
Thanks so much for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed these cards, they certainly were fun to make.

And some good news for all. A Colorful Life Design is having an Encore sale for 3 days only.
