Holly Greetings

Meet "Holly Greetings".

I found myself designing this card as my whim took me. There is a lot going on, one could say it is eclectic and I would agree. But I do like it, sometimes it is fun to take yourself outside of your comfort zone.
I started with a piece of red cardstock from Gina K Design and a white card base, then I sat there looking out the window! It was one of those days. I finally got up and went to the cabinet across from my desk which holds things I don't use often. Inside was my container of Gold Gilding Flakes. "Yes".

Using a stencil from A Colorful Life Design, I applied glue to the open areas, then filled in the spaces with the gold leaf. Yes, it makes a mess, but I took a stiff brush to clean everything off, then cleaned the stencil in hot water.
Once the leafing was dry I attached the red piece to my cardbase using Nuvo adhesive glue. I then embossed a piece of Neenah white cardstock using the Sizzix Winter Foliage embossing folder. To add colour to the folder I ran the Golden Glitz Delicata ink pad lightly over the top of the embossed paper.

Using my gel glitter pen I added red berries to the flower centres of the embossed panel.
In my mini Misti I stamped the Picket Fence Holly Branch and die cut it with the coordinating die. I then coloured the piece using Copic markers. The greens are in this order and back; G14, G05, G07 and the reds are R27 and R29.

Once I was finished with the colouring of the Holly I attached it to the embossed card piece using 1/2 inch foam squares.
To finish my card I added the Hot Foil Seasons Greetings sentiment using small foam squares.

Thank you for joining me today, I very much appreciate it.
