Happy Holidays

Introducing "Happy Holidays".

I saw some country designer plaid paper online, but it was way out of my price line, so I decided to  make some, as it seemed simple enough. I pretty well followed that card, which now I cannot find ofcourse!
The original paper was plaid, but had many more lines than this one that I made. Given the brush I was using, I was not left with a lot of room for more plaid!

On Gina K Design Soft Stone and Passionate Pink cardstock and using a small stiff brush I applied the Hero Arts Pigment ink in a sweeping motion down the card, then across creating a plaid pattern.
I attached the soft stone card to the pink cardbase using Spellbinders foam along with Nuvo adhesive. Inside the cardbase I added another piece of the Soft Stone along with a piece of Neenah white cardstock and a sentiment from Picket Fence Studios inside Christmas sentiments stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne.

Using the Sizzix Funky Wreath die I die cut 3 wreaths, gluing two together and attaching to the bottom part of the card, adding the single wreath slightly above. I die cut some white bits of the wreath and gathered them together in between the two wreaths.
I tied the pieces together and glued in place using the Pearl Cotton thread. I then glued in place the foiled sentiment.

To the finished card I added a few gems in reds and greens and a white gem.

The weather is very overcast, which is not good for shooting photos, but sometimes one just has to work with what they have.

Thank you for your visit today.
