Watercolour Glass Ornament

Introducing "Watercolour Glass Ornament".

It is that time again for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com. This week we had the pleasure of visiting with Sandy Allnock for her video found here.

But first I wanted to let you know about a couple of sales going on. A Colorful Life Design has a sale going on "Buy One Get One Free, that is a great deal .... and
Scrap'n Stamp has a Black Friday Event with several Designer Bundles available. Be sure to check them out.
Sandy showed her bauble with a bokeh frame. As my bauble is much larger I did not do the background, concentrating instead on the ornament itself as I wanted it to appear a pale green.

For the Ornament colour I used Daniel Smith watercolours in Sap Green, Green Gold, Cascade Green and Phthalo Turquoise. For the Bear I used Buff Titanium, Quinacridone Rose, Quinacridone Gold and Pyrrol Scarlett with Deep Sap Green for the Scarf.
The flowers were painted using the above greens as well. I added the berries with a red glitter marker, then added the white with a gel pen. To paint the hanger cap I used Jane's Gray watered down along with Kuretake White Gold for some sparkle.

I did the bear as it reminds me of a ornament that I have, which is clear and there is a Bear figurine inside it. I have not a clue how they do these things, but it was easy for my ornament, I used a die cut for the Bear. lol
The glitter ribbon die cut is from a Penny Black die that I have. I like the different shape of it, and it reminded me of the ribbon that Sandy did for her bauble.

Around the ornament I used a clear shimmer pen, adding what reminds me of the sparkle from glass, which I also added to the hangar cap. This was a fun card to do. Sandy gave great instructions, so do give it a go if you like to do watercolouring.Thank you for joining me today. Following are Affiliate links for the products I used for today's card, at no extra cost to you.
