Pumpkin Time

Meet "Pumpkin Time".

I did this card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. I am hosting this week's challenge and made a Pinterest Board filled with pumpkins, that you can view here.
I started by stamping and die cutting the truck. I then die cut the truck on a folded card, which is attached to the front card panel turning this into a card.

For inspiration I used this picture along with this truck picture. To colour the pumpkins I stamped using different colours of distress oxide inks, spritzed with water and applied to cardstock.

I then die cut all the pumpkins before stamping the handle as the angle is a bit different, and die cutting made it much easier to see where I should be stamping.
To colour the truck I used one colour of Copic, being R46. My reasoning was that red can be a difficult colour, especially when photographing. This has a lot of the red, hence, 3 layers of one colour was done.

I did the tires using C3 and C5, and the undercarriage using C3, C5 and C7. The muffler and bumper were done using EK marker in silver.
On the tail lights I used Copic YR23, then attached a red pearl as my truck is parked. The license plate was stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Blue Belle.

Finishing the details I added Glossy Accents to the window area and side mirrors.
You may wonder why I coloured in the two side panels. I did not want them as windows, so instead coloured using 100 black marker making them appear as grab areas to get in the truck. I like the old fashioned appearance of the truck as it is.

To finish up I attached all the pumpkins using foam squares on most and glue on a couple.

Thank you for joining me today. Following are Affiliate links for the products I have used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
