When it Rains

 

Meet "When it Rains".

These stamps and dies are by Honey Bee Stamps and I am loving all of them. There was a release that was done which was just about all things Rainbow, and I snatched them up as fast as I found them.

Using my Gemini Jr. I ran the die through to cut the shape using Neenah cardsock. The sunrays are perforated which is nice as it gives you the lines to follow for colouring, which I did using Copic markers. 

For the rainbow colours I used from left to right, R27, YR07, Y08, G05, B39 and V17. The Sun was done using Y13 and Y18 and the water is BG49, BG45 and BG11.

I wanted a bit of texture for the background so decided on the Sizzix Quilted embossing folder, which I glued to the Neenah card base.

For the sentiment it was hard to choose there are so many, but I picked the one When it rains. Using the same marker colours as I used for the ocean I coloured a piece of cardstock then in my mini Misti I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder.

Again, using my mini Misti I stamped the Rainbow sentiment with VersaFine Clair ink then die cut it with the coordinating die propping it up on foam squares to attach to the circlescape.

I ran another piece of cardstock with the Quilted embossing folder for the inside of my card, and will pick another sentiment to add. Love that those sentiments have the matching dies.

I am sorry I am late these days. I have a sick bird who has been taking up a lot of my time, and she does come first for me. I think I should just set up camp at the Vet's, but doubt I would get much sleep!
