Bloom

This is "Bloom".

Yes, I smiled throughout the time I was making this card. You all know how I love colour, and even black can make me happy. These bees were a lot of fun to colour.
This card started with the background. I am using the Stencil Monoprint technique, found under my "Awesome Tutorials" section along with the PhotoPlay Floral stencil.

I inked up the stencil using Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch, then spritzed  with a fair amount of water, laying down my cardstock on the stencil, rubbing all over, ensuring the transfer of inks. I then set aside the piece to dry.
In my mini Misti I stamped the bees from Honey Bee stamps using Memento ink in Tuxedo Black and proceeded to colour using Copic markers as follows:

The yellow parts of the bee are Y02, Y08, YR24, E99; the black parts 100, C7; and the wings are coloured with B01, and B12. I then applied Nuvo Shimmer pen to the wings for a bit of sparkle.

To finish up the card I die cut the bees with the coordinating dies, then die cut the background piece using the Paper Rose die. I attached the stenciled background to the card base, then attached the bees using foam squares.

Placing my card in my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment, then stamped the "bloom" on vellum paper using Versamark embossing ink and heat embossed using white embossing powder. I die cut the bloom with the coordinating die and attached to the card front using foam squares that I cut up.
I finished by adding Pink and Main Wildflower Enamel dots in various colours taken from the card. I also attached the background piece inside my card, which was made with the leftover inks from my stencil.

Thank you so much for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed this card process.
