Now back to the card I made for today.
To celebrate our birthday bash I am using a cover die from Hero Arts to make a shaker card.

There are a couple of ways you can make a shaker card using this die. You can do a full card shaker where you would adhere around the edges only.
I decided to do a shaker card by letter. But first on my side folded card I did the front of my card first.

Using my stencil with the yellow and pink oxide inks I brushed on the colour, then I added pieces of crackle paste around parts of the card and set it aside to dry.
I built up the shaker portion by die cutting the Happy Birthday die 4 times including the top layer, which I blended with the yellow and pink colours.

Between the cover top and the next layer is the piece of packaging acetate to keep the gems in. I glued down the 3 layers, added the sequins to each of the letters, then added the acetate and finally the top cover.
To finish up I added the die cut flowers which were coloured using Copic colours.
As I was running out of time I did not do the inside, but I will be using one of the cut outs to stencil in Happy Birthday.

I hope you have enjoyed today's card, and wish to thank you for visiting with us for this hop. Up next on the hop is Meghan. The list follows as well as the Affiliate links for this post, at no extra cost to you.
