Snowy Christmas

Meet Happy Christmas.

I have made this card for this week's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com, which I am hosting. I picked a Canadian site called Putti Fine Furnishings, and found this picture which has these colours.
Every year I make sure to use this Snowflake stamp, which I love, from Colorado Craft Company. I try to do something different each time I use it, including changing up the colours

First up in my original Misti I stamped the Snowflake using Versamark embossing ink and heat embossed using Nuvo Glacier White embossing powder.
I then put down the distress ink colours on my work top, and spritzed my watercolour card with water. Using my paint brush I picked up the colours and applied randomly to my card, until I was happy with the look.

I dried the watercolour card, and applied the colours a second time, building up the colour intensity.
While the piece was still damp I spritzed with a mixture of perfect pearls and water, then added splatters of white gouache and set aside.

In my Misti using Versamark embossing ink I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed with the white embossing powder.
I made a small puddle of the Chipped Sapphire Oxide ink and dragged the sentiment piece through it several times until it was saturated.

I glued the dried panel to my card base using Nuvo adhesive. I then attached the sentiment strip using foam squares to finish.

I really like these colours, and I hope you do as well.
