Holly Jolly

Meet Holly Jolly!

Deep Saturation of colours is what made this card come to life for me. To achieve the colours I used distress oxide inks and Copic markers, both in layers.
I first made my card base using Neenah card. I then die cut the panel using a Pinkfresh Studio die, also die cutting one for the inside of the card.

For the colours I am using Distress Oxides, from bottom to top in Crackling Campfire, Candied Apple, Barn Door and Aged Mahogany. I then went over the Aged Mahogany with the Barn Door to finish the blending. Before the inks dried I misted my piece with a mix of perfect pearls and water.
In my mini Misti and using Hammermill card I stamped the Holly using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and proceeded to colour using Copics.

On the leaves I used YG63, YG45, BG07 finishing with G29. For the berries I used R29 and R39.
To finish up my panel I splattered using Midas Touch Shimmering Pen. Once the piece was dry I placed the Holly where I wanted it and traced around with the Midas Touch pen, and of course what is a pen without an accident, too much liquid in one place! I just rolled with it, nothing more to do.

I then glued the panel to my card base, and styled and attached the Holly using foam squares.
To finish in my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

I hope you have enjoyed this card today, and I thank you for your visit.
