Variegated Backgrounds

It is Tuesday night, which means it is time to upload my card for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com.

I am honoured to be hostess for this challenge. I have picked a painting by CeeCeeCreations, where we have been before. This is the video for the challenge, if you wish to watch it.

CeeCee used beautiful colours for her soft background. I too have used soft colours, meaning that my colours are watered down quite a bit too. I used colours are in the greens, buff, darker buff in the Gothite and hints of pink with the Iridescent Ruby and my #12 brush.

My flower is done using Quinacridone Burnt Scarlet and Organic Vermillion. It is darker than I wanted it to be, but that is okay.

For the gold I used Kuretake Tambi Gem Colours and my #4 Brush and I used the #4 to paint the stem and leaf using Jadite Genuine.

I could not resist adding some splatters, but I did keep them very light and in the bottom part of my card using the Iridescent Ruby.

To finish up, in my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment which is from Impression Obsession. I initially stamped it in a blue shade, but then went over it using the Watering Can which is a gray shade. My cursive writing is too large for me to write on a card, which is annoying.

I then attached my watercolour piece to a dark green card base.

I thank you for visiting today. Following are Affiliate links for the products I have used for this card today, at no extra cost to you. I thank you very much for your support.
