Hello all!

Welcome to the Scrap'n Stamp For the Birds September Blog hop. I have little doubt that you will find much that inspires you in today's hop.

Don't forget to leave your comments on each of the members blogs for your chance to win a $50.00 gift card from the Scrap'n Stamp Store.

We will also have Sales on over the weekend, once which includes Copic markers, so be sure to check these Back to School sales out. There will also be a sale on select Bird Themed items.
When I saw this Say It With Stamps stamp set, I could not get it in my cart fast enough. I immediately knew what I would be doing with it, and waited patiently for it to arrive. The minute it was in the house, I did my card, and what fun I had.

As I have not previously done a mini slimline card I thought I would do one for this card. If you are not aware of the mini slimline it is a cute size of 3.25 x 6.25 inches, which is super easy to make an envelope for.
As I wanted the white card base to show I cut a panel 1/4 inch less on both sides, being 3 x 6 inches. For my background I used Kitsch Flamingo distress ink, blending it around my card using Tim Holtz Blending tool and foam pads and leaving the centre of the card bare.

Once complete, I splattered the panel with water then applied a piece of paper towel to mop up the excess.
In my mini Misti I stamped all the birds and the branches, stamping two each of the branches.

Using Copic markers I began to colour the birds with B02, B04, B01 and B00. For the beaks I used YR15. The branches were done using only two colours, G03 and G02. For the little flowers I used Y13 and YR15 in the centre, and R81 on their cheeks.
Once the colouring was completed using my Gemini Jr. I die cut the pieces using the coordinating dies.

To put it all together I added foam tape to the back of the pink panel and attached it to my Neenah card base. I then arranged the branches and birds, messing around quite a bit until I finally settled on this arrangement, which I attached using a mix of foam squares and glue.
I finished by stamping the sentiment using VersaFine ink in Paradise, then adding the sequins for a bit of glam.

I love how this card turned out, and I hope you do as well. Thank you for joining us today for this Scrap'n Stamp event. Following are links to the designers who are participating in this hop, followed by Affiliate links for the products I used, at no extra cost to you.
