Blooms of Spring

It certainly has been a busy week for me, but it is Friday and that means it is time to upload my card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.

I am hosting the challenge and have picked Burnett's Boards for inspiration. I picked this cake which I fell in love with.

I pulled the peach shades and the teal colours along with the addition of the teal/green leaves at the top of the cake to use for my card.

In my mini Misti I stamped the leaves and flower branches and the hey die using Hammermill cardstock. I cut the geometric circle die from Neenah cardstock.

To colour the leaves I used Copic markers in GBG23, G02 and YG07.  On the flowers I used R32, R22 and R02. Then on the "hey" die I used BG07. On the flower leaves I switched out the order of the colours.

To pull it together I attached the geometric circle die to my Gina K Design Ocean Mist cardstock using foam squares. I then styled the leaves and flowers with my stylist and either glued them in place or used foam squares to secure them.

For a little bit of glam I added Nuvo Glitter drops around the card, then attached the coloured sentiment die with Nuvo adhesive.

This was a fun card to make and I especially like the colours. I just wish I had more of the blue showing on the tips of the leaf on the right.

I hope you have enjoyed this card as well, and thank you for visiting.
