Happy Winter

It has been a long time since I have used this stamp but as it happened it is perfect for today's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers, visiting Studio Knit for our inspiration, where I picked this shawl.

I decided against the pink and the peach and instead used a taupe colour as the colours would be lost on the images I decided to use.

Using my original Misti I arranged the stamps in order of stamping, the face first, then the scarf and hat, if using, on each image using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black which makes friends with Copic markers and Hammermill card stock which is wonderful with Copic markers.

First I did the hair on each using YR24, E37 and E23 on the left hair, and E23, E49 with E57 on the right hair. For both of the faces I used E00, E11 and E51 for shading along with R12 on the cheeks.

For the scarves and the hat I used E35, BG23 and R59. I then stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink on vellum paper and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Once I was done with the colouring I fussy cut both of the pieces out and styled them using my stylus. I also cut out the sentiment.

Using another piece of Neenah cardstock I stamped the Penny Black stamp and heat embossed using WOW embossing powder in Mint Macaroon, then sponged on Distress Oxide ink in Peacock Feathers for a emboss resist look.

I then attached the stamped pieces using foam squares, along with the sentiment, again using foam squares.

To finish up I added a scattering of crystals.

I enjoyed using this set again. I am sending out some winter cards to those I did not send Christmas cards to, just to change it up a bit and this is perfect for that. The other part of this sentiment wishes for a Happy New Year which I will put on the inside.

Thank you for your visit today. Following are Affiliate links to the products that I have used for this card, at no extra cost to you. I very much appreciate your support.
