Marvellous

A couple of weeks ago I water coloured this same image for my dearest friend who lost her Mom. I said at the time I would come back with one done using Copic Markers, so here we are.

I used the same colours as in the previous card, except for the background. I wanted all the attention to be on the flower and that took a lot of colours. And my friend Cheryl once told me, I can use any colour for shading, and today I picked a pale violet.

In my original Misti I stamped the image with Memento Jet Black ink on Hammermill cardstock. My mission was to detract with my colouring that the image was stamped with black, and I think I did okay with that.

So, the colours I used. For the flower RV10, RV13, RV14 and R46, with Y18 in the centre. For the blue green leaves BG11, BG23, BG34 and BG49. For the green leaves I used YG01, YG03, YG07, G14 and YG67, and finally for the berries I used B12, B14. B06. The shading is BV31.

Once I was finished with the colouring I trimmed the piece to 3.75 x 5. inches, then matted with a piece of Blue Mirror Cardstock and finally attached to my Neenah card base. I really love the look of this. I then stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair Ink in Paradise.

To finish up instead of using shimmering pens I opted for a few iridescent sequins and gems.
