Hugs Sympathy

This card was difficult to make for me. My dear friend, who is battling breast cancer for the second time has just lost her mother. They had a marvelous and very special relationship, and they both                                                        loved to laugh, which is infectious.

You may recall my card from Wednesday, which was Tissue Paper Watercolouring. When I do the technique and remove it from the box I use I set it on a piece of cut cardstock, and let it sit briefly while the cardstock takes on the colours and some of the design. The background for this card is one of the backgrounds.

For the flower I used my Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens. For the flower I used only Pink Lemonade from the Dream in Color set. I made two puddles, watering down one of them for the lighter colours, and having the second for the darker colour.

For the leaves I used Fresh Green from Spring Meadow set, and Evergreen Fern from Autumn Woodland set. I also used the Rustic Oak from the Autumn Woodland set for the berry stems, and Azure Blue from Winter Skies.

As I wanted the image to be cut direct to the leaves etc. I fussy cut it out.

I die cut the background piece using Spellbinders Scored and Pierced die set, and attached to my card base using Nuvo Adhesive. I then styled the flower and attached using foam squares.

To finish up I stamped the sentiment from a Altenew Set using VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne, then added several gems.

Thank you for joining me today. I will be doing another card using this stamp set and Copic Markers, at which time I will add Affiliate Links. Thanks for understanding.
