I could not resist playing with this set again, these birds are just too cute.
This little fellow needed something a tad different, so watercolour in an abstract design is one of my favourite things to do, especially on cute images. And, yes, it is easy.

In my mini Misti I stamped the image on Arches Cold Press 140lb watercolour paper, as the texture from the paper will add to the look.
I used my watercolour palette, picking colours that were a bit different, which I thought would look good with this kind of image. I have 3 colours on the bird itself, then 5 colours in the surround.

I used Cadmium Yellow, Sap Green, Transparent Orange, Orange/Red Shade, Lemon Yellow. On the bird I used Cadmium Yellow, Orange/Red Shade and Lemon Yellow. For the splatters I used Cobalt Turquoise and Orange/Red Shade.
The Lemon Yellow was also used to paint over all the previous watercolouring to brighten the colours.

Again using my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair Ink in Glamorous to add another bright colour to the mix.
To finish I added Midas Touch Aqua Shimmer to the painted areas around the bird, which adds a nice sparkle to the card as I decided against any sequins or gems.
