A Hand

I have wanted this stamp set for ages, but it was always sold out. I finally managed to get it recently and it is as cute as I knew it would be.

And it is time for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers, with the challenge being to add an unexpected colour to your image. You can find the video detailing this technique here.

To start, in my mini Misti I stamped the image on Arches Cold Press watercolour paper using VersaFine Clair Ink in Pinecone. It is beautiful ink to use for watercolour.

For both of the bunnies I painted a base layer using Raw Sienna and let dry. Normally if I was doing just one image I would drop in my next colour while still wet, but with their being two smaller images, one was sure to dry before finishing the other, hence letting them both dry.

Then on the smaller bunny I dampened the bunny and added in Burnt Sienna and also added in the Cobalt Turquoise as well as a bit of Opera Pink in the ear and on the cheek, being sure to blend out evenly.

For the bigger bunny I added Burnt Umber along with a bit of the Cobalt Turquoise which I also blended out. I think they look really cute with the addition of the turquoise something I will do again.

To finish off my card I took a medium circle die and taped it down to my card front, then dampened the circle with my paint brush and dropped in and smoothed out the Opera Pink watercolour, grounding the image lightly.

In my mini Misti I then stamped the sentiment using the VersaFine Clair Ink in the Pinecone again. I then attached the piece to fun foam using Scor-pal tape and attached it to my pink card base.

I kept the card Clean and Simple as I did not want anything to detract from the bunnies.

Many thanks for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed this card and that you will try this technique out yourself. Following are Affiliate Links for the products used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
