Hello and Hugs

At Splitcoaststampers today we took a visit to a Canadian Sneaker Company called Converse. I saw a pair of sneakers done in red and white, and as I wanted black and white I changed the colours.

For my design I used a stencil, Deco Foil Transfer Gel and Black Deco Foil. As my panel dried I moved on to a second card, which you can find below.

This card is super easy to do once the gel has dried. As I was using 110ln Neenah cardstock for my panel I felt I did not need another piece of card stock for a shim. I made a folder with a baking sheet, placed my white card stock inside and placed the black foil, black facing up, on top of the panel, then closed the sheet and ran through my laminator.

I attached the panel to my white card base, die cut three hello sentiments and glued them on to the front of the card along with a few gems in yellow. I loved how it turned out.

As I mentioned, I moved on to a second card while the gel dried from the first.

The inspiration for my second card came from a pair of sneakers done using rainbow colours.

Once again I did some foiling only this time I used Deco Toner Sheets and three different colours of foil. I wanted sun in the background so I opted to use a stencil and brushed on Sunflower ink, having it heavier in the centre.

I attached the flowers at the top with foam squares and glued the stems at the bottom. The sentiment die cut is from Lawn Fawn, and I don't think I have ever used it before. I stamped the outline using the same Sunflower Ink, then die cut the hugs die, brushed on the Sunflower colour and glued it to the banner.

Clearly I had a lot of fun with the foil paper today. I hope you have enjoyed these cards and wish to thank you for visiting. Following are affiliate links for the products used for today, at no cost to you.
