The Path

Yet again I find I am inking up a stamp for the first time despite having had it for awhile. It is such a fun stamp to work with and I can see many uses for it.
I took inspiration from nature at a site that Splitcoaststampers is using today for the Inspiration Challenge. I used two pictures, the first being these trees, and the second being the colours in the sky of this picture.
I started with my Misti, stamping the birch tree using Versafine Clair ink in Nocturne. I then heat embossed using clear embossing powder.
Using my water colour palette I painted with Daniel Smith Cadmium Yellow, Opera Pink and Winsor Newton Orange Red Shade. I wanted the pink to bloom further into the yellow on the right side, but typically when you want it, it does not happen or it happens a bit, which is my case. The orange and pink blended wonderfully.
I stamped the sentiment using the Nocturne ink, and attached my panel along with black matting to my card base adding a few Nuvo Crystal drops to finish.

*The sentiment is an old one from Stampendous which they do not carry any longer, but I found one on Etsy for a great price. I have linked to it below. I do not make a commission from Etsy, but it is easier to link it along with my other products.

Thank you for visiting today.
