Sunburst Hello

As I type this, it is once again snowing! I am so ready for this to leave us, and bring in some spring. While I wait I decided to bring Spring in via this card, hence yellow and oranges.

I am using Penny Black's stamp called Sunbursts. To get the rich colours of yellow and oranges, I am using Ken Oliver's Color Burst in Lemon Yellow, Tangerine and Orange.
To start, on a piece of Fabriano Hot Press 140lb water colour paper I stamped the image with VersaMark ink and heat embossed using White Embossing Powder and heat set. I then spritzed the piece with a bit of water to dampen it, then sprinkled on the colours. The Lemon Yellow was giving me a problem, but I persisted! I added the colours around the panel adding the orange sparingly as I did not want the piece to appear heavy.
I then dried the piece with my heat gun and die cut the panel using my Wonky rectangle die. I did not want a white card base, nor did I want black all the way around the panel, so I opted for a yellow card base and cut another wonky rectangle using black card stock.

I stamped the sentiment on the black card stock and heat embossed with white embossing powder, attaching with foam squares to finish.
Following is my video for this card.

Thank you for joining me.
