This is my latest water colour card which I painted with some of my favourite colours. I love to water colour, it is so relaxing for me.
I started with Fabriano hot press water colour paper. I would not use this for my paintings, but for cards it is my go to. Trust me, this card had a lot of water, which the paper handled perfectly.

My card water colour palette is a mix of brands of paint. I make my decisions based on how much I love the colour. For my water colour classes I use a totally different palette and we do a lot of our own mixes. And I do lean towards rich vibrant colours, such as the colours I have used here.
In my Misti I stamped the flowers using Ranger Archival Ink, masking with the cut outs of the flowers I did in paper. I then proceeded to water colour using Cadmium Yellow Light for my base, dropping in the Orange/Red as I went. I used the Cad. Yellow Light along with Indian Yellow for the flower centre, and Sap Green for the leaves. I then used a watered down Orange/Red and a Leaf Green to do my background.
Once I was finished with the water colour, I placed my panel back in my Misti and stamped my sentiment, again using the Ranger Ink. I wanted my card to remain clean and simple, so I attached the panel to fun foam and then to my orange card base using    to finish. I am very happy with the outcome.
