Autumn Branches

Today I am participating with Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge, where we had a visit to a fabulous site called The Photo Argus. If you need inspiration, this is a fabulous site to find it.

For my card I picked this photograph.
I first stamped and heat embossed my image, Penny Black's Into the Sky, using black embossing powder. I then did the background using Ken Oliver's Color Burst in Chartreuse, Fuchsia and Alizarin Crimson. Once the background was dry I die cut the panel using My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Rectangle Stax.
I then flicked on Vicki Boutin Acrylic paint in Juicy Pear and Sugared Strawberry. I stamped the sentiment, again using black embossing powder, and finished with a few crystal drops in Keylime and Rosewater.
I hope you have enjoyed this card and wish to thank you for visiting.

  1. Gorgeous fall card, Kia! You captured the beautiful colors of the leaves from the photo so well with the Color Burst. The acrylic paint flickers are a really nice finishing touch. Love the shine of the heat-embossing and the crystal drops.
