Autumn Maple

For some reason I was in the mood for a very red Maple Leaf today, so I decided to do this leaf using Schmincke watercolour in Scarlet Red.

I first stamped on distress watercolour paper using gold embossing powder, then did several layers of the red. I then die cut a mask for my panel piece, and watercoloured using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Candied Apple, going around the mask edges.
I then die cut the panel with the scalloped die set, stamped the sentiment and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  I flicked on some gold paint, die cut another panel using the distress watercolour paper and the scalloped die, and attached the layers to my card base. I attached the leaf using foam dots.
I hope you enjoyed this card and thank you for visiting today.

  1. Ooh, I'm so glad to see the other photos of your card, Kia! It's a gorgeous card, and I especially love how you've lightly popped the leaf. And of course, you had to have a red maple leaf! I love it! Hugs and love! xoxo
