Tropical Dreams

I am up on the Scrap'n Stamp blog today sharing this card I did using a Flora and Fauna Stamp Set called Good Vibes. It just doesn't get much cuter than this!

To start my card I first die cut the insert in my card panel. I then arranged the stamps in my Misti, concentrating first on the border stamps, which are heat embossed using Nuvo clear embossing powder. Before inking the stamps I would remove the insert, then stamp with Versamark and heat emboss with the  embossing powder. I would then put the card back together and remove the frame before inking the stamps with colour, then heat embossing again with the clear embossing powder. In this case I am using Distress Oxides in Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover for my colours. I did this around the frame and in the insert until completed.

I then stamped the birds using Jet Black ink and the  flower using Vibrant Fuchsia on water colour paper and water coloured with Zig Brushes in yellow, bright yellow, orange, pink and light green then fussy cut everything out.
To put my card together, I added fun foam to the back of my panel and attached to my card base. I arranged placement of the birds and flower, then stamped the sentiment in Bright Tangelo. I styled the flower a bit, and attached the flower using glue and the birds are on foam dots. I then finished with a few sequins, and added a touch of Wink of Stella to the birds beaks and the flower centre.

I hope you have enjoyed this card today, and thank you for visiting.
