Soar

I am playing along in today's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers today, where we had a visit to the site of the US Mint Sheets. Postage stamp sheets that are for sale and they are amazing. I picked this sheet for my inspiration.
I first die cut my panel with my antique frame, then did an alcohol background using Citrus, Lettuce, Dandelion and blending solution. I cut up my own felts for my round applicator tool, which is what I used to add interest to my background. I lay down random dots of ink in all the colours I want to use on my Yupo, then with the applicator tool I begin to pounce, turn, add blending ink, more alcohol ink - you get my drift. Until I am happy, which includes having some white space left. To get the tiny little circles I lightly tap the tool and add hot breath - yes the huff and puff kind. I did another blue background using Pool and Sailboat inks along with the blending solution, and this is what I used to die cut my bird. I also stamp the bird die with the coordinating stamp using Ranger Archival Ink in Cobalt Blue. To finish I added the sentiment from Stamplorations along with Nuvo Jewel Drops. They are fresh when I took the picture, they will flatten just a bit when dry, which is a perfect end result.
Here is a closeup picture.
Thank you for visiting my blog today.
