My Beautiful Friend

I think the sentiment is perfect for the stamped image, and I have a beautiful friend who will love it. This is also my sample for the Clean and Simple Challenge today at Splitcoaststampers.
The challenge calls for plaid, so I used a designer paper with a watercolour messy plaid to change it up a bit. In picking this paper to use, my card is precariously sitting on the edge of clean and simple, which is why I left a lot of white space on the front panel.
I first stamped the images I wanted to use using Ranger Archival Ink in Jet Black, then proceeded to watercolour the bird using Tim Holtz Distress Inks, which are noted below.
When finished with the watercolour I fussy cut everything, and die cut the designer paper and panel using my wonky dies. I stamped the sentiment using Ranger Archival Ink in Manganese Blue. I attached the white panel using fun foam, glued down the flowers, attached the bird on foam dots and added Wink of Stella to the bird and parts of the feathers, then finished the front with Nuvo Jewel Drops is Limoncello.
The inside looks darker than it actually is as I have the front up blocking some of the light. I die cut the panel with the left over designer paper attached to my white card piece. I added  a few more flowers and stamped the sentiment using Ranger Archival Ink in Majestic Violet.
I hope you have enjoyed this card and would like to thank you for visiting my blog.
