Colours of Autumn

Autumn is by far my favourite time of the year. I love the cooler daytime temperatures with that touch of crispness in the air, and the nights are glorious.

This card represents the beauty that comes our way with autumn weather. I love it when the leaves turn and show off, which is what I tried to represent here.
I heat embossed the leaves with white embossing powder before water colouring with distress inks. Once it was dry I sponged the edges and flicked on a burlap acrylic ink, I did not want black, I wanted a change from it, so burlap it was. For the sentiment I stamped in Colorbox Chestnut ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder on vellum before attaching to my card panel. The panel was then attached to my base on foam strips and I scattered a few sequins in fall colours to finish.

Thank you for visiting today ... see you next time.
