Birthday Greetings

The richness of the Abandoned Coral distress ink pops on this card, which is just the look I was going for. I wanted the saturated look for my background and achieved that using my clarity brushes and applying layers of ink, which I did inside my Misti, using the magnets to hold everything in place. For added texture, I sprinkled my background with water. I then stamped the birthday sentiment on vellum paper and heat embossed using gold embossing powder, adhering to my stencilled background with vellum tape. I used the vellum again to stamp and heat emboss my flowers, adding a bit of colour and die cutting the flowers to arrange around the birthday sentiment, with a couple of the flowers attached on foam dots. I added in a few of the primitive leaf dies sponged using the cracked pistachio and finished my card with a sprinkling of white, clear and gold sequins.

  1. Your stenciling is always so perfect; it looks like a die cut every time. You get such crisp, clean lines. This is so pretty.
