Sunshine Roses

The sun is rising on May flowers.  The clean and simple challenge at Splitcoaststampers today wants to see some May flowers. Roses are not May flowers in my neck of the woods, but they are for my card! I used my Clarity Brushes to brush on the sun rays using Tim Holtz Distress Inks Scattered Straw and Mustard Seed. I die cut the landscape edging die in the white and added the roses with a few on foam dots which are stamped using Altenew Inks Frosty Pink, Coral Berry, and Grapevine. Although you cannot see it in the picture, I added Wink of Stella to the bottom of the rays coming out from the roses and a scattering of Nuvo Jewel Drops in Limoncello and Rosewater. I did not add a sentiment as I felt it would ruin the look, so I will add the sentiment inside the card.
Thank you for visiting today ... see you next time.

  1. Wow, Kia, I LOVE this card! It makes me smile! I love the sun rising on your gorgeous roses, and I love the Nuvo drops. I definitely need some Clarity brushes some day. I really found that sponging my last background would have been far better (and easier) with the brushes. It's an amazing background! Hugs! xoxo
