A Beautiful Day

At Splitcoaststampers today the challenge is a visit to a beautiful Pinterest page full of flower arrangements. I picked this rose for my inspiration as I just loved the yellow in with the pink. For my card I coloured my stamps with markers and took a deep breath and blew. I am sure this technique has a name, but I have not a clue what it would be called. In any event, the breath adds humidity to the coloured stamp ... perfect for what I wanted.  This is a 2 step stamp, so both stamps I did the same way, as well as the leaves. I die cut the patterned paper and attached, along with the white cardstock panel, which is attached on foam strips. I styled the flower and leaves just slightly, attaching the flower on a foam dot with the leaves going around it. I then stamped the tiny leaves and coloured them with the light pink marker and water. I was going to add a die sentiment, but changed my mind and put my card in my Mini Misti to add my stamped sentiment. As I was stamping on raised cardstock, I inked several times to get good coverage, then added Wink of Stella, which softens the sentiment. And, I finished off with a few sequins ...
Thanks for dropping by today.
I am adding this card to the April CAS Watercolour Card Challenge to use green and pink.

  3. Beautiful card, the colours you have used look wonderful. I think the technique you are referring to has been called 'huffing' by some.
