Thank you Butterflies

I just love this Butterfly stamp set and wanted to play with it as soon as I could. I do need a few thank you cards, and butterflies are perfect for that. This set is a 3 layer stamping set, with the black outline being the first layer, the light orange the second layer and the darker orange the third layer. All of this is made incredibly easy using my Misti. I set up my Misti with the first layer of each butterfly and the thank you sentiment and stamped all in black. I took out the butterfly stamps and added the second layer of butterfly stamps lining up over the stamped images and inked each with their respective colours. I did the same with the third layer of the butterflies in the darker colour. I removed the butterfly stamps and added the creative corners to my Misti to stamp the shadowing of my sentiment. Here are a few pics to give you a better idea.

As you can see, the creative corner is butted to the top of the card panel and just slightly to the right of the card panel. I then stamp with the lighter ink to get the shadowing appearance for the sentiment. To finish my card I attached the panel on foam strips and added a few sequins. Thanks for visiting today ...

  1. This is a gorgeous card Kia. LOVE the orange and blue butterflies ... beautiful combination of colours. I am ashamed to say I have this set ... probably over a year now and have not inked up any of the butterflies, just the sentiments. :) Those creative corners are so cool. Thanks for sharing. xx
