So, be sure to visit the fabulous designers and leave a comment (one per blog please) for your chance to win.

I am thankful for My MISTI (I have the Mini and the Original) for
several reasons. My stamping life changed immensely when I bought my Mini Misti. Suddenly stamping became fun and not a chore to be ignored. My Mini Misti has given me the confidence and the push to delve into the stamping world.
And, I have never looked back! With the Misti, I can ink my image as many times as needed to get that beautiful finished look. If I miss part of my stamp when inking, not a problem, I re-apply the ink and stamp again. And, my stamped images are straight - finally, which makes such a difference to a finished card. I could go on, but let us get on with the hop!

Following is my card that I made for today's hop.
I lined up my paper following the lines on the Mini Grid
Paper. I did not need to use the magnets as I was
stamping on 140lb watercolour paper with a cling foam stamp. My experience has been the paper stays in place, and it did. I inked my image several times for that great impression, but I also wiped the stamp and inked in a different colour for this image.
I then trimmed my paper down and sponged on additional distress inks in Fossilised  Amber and Ripe Persimmon.

With my aqua brush I activated the distress inks, adding
a bit more of the Rusty Hinge as need.

I then matted my panel to black cardstock and adhered
to my card base and place it back in my Misti to add some leaves falling, but wanted  a bit of pop, so I stamped my leaves in Intense Black. And, as this little leaf is very old, it took several inking's to get that good impression.
I then added my sentiment, also stamped in the
Intense Black Ink.

My finished card with a few sequins added for a
bit of sparkle.
Thank you for visiting me today, following is a list of

  6. It's good to know that you can bring life back to the older stamps that weren't stamping so well just with the use of the MISTI. I have so many stamps that I don't use because they don't stamp completely the first time, but I don't own a MISTI so the stamps are not being used. Winning a MISTI would be life changing for me. I've read all the other DT members blogs and how the MISTI has improved their stamping, and you are all expert stampers to begin with. I am not a big stamper because I avoid buying stamps that I know I won't be able to use. But with a MISTI I would be able to buy those beautiful layered stamps without worry. I am thankful for this opportunity to possibly win one and give one to a friend who also doesn't own one.

Kia, your card is beautiful as always. Thank you for all the tips you gave and the inspirational idea of stamping with multiple colors to achieve the gorgeous effect you achieved.

  7. I love your card! Thanks so much for your detailed explanations. I would be so thankful to win a MISTI, as it's getting harder and harder to stamp as my hands stiffen more with arthritis, and my images often are incomplete, so I have to throw card stock out and start over.

  21. Very cool card and and well done tutorial on how to use the MiSTI. I am thankful for the MISTI because it not only helped me be a better stamper but it enabled my Art class students to stamp their own sentiments for their Mother's Day cards that we make in class. I am hoping to acquire more of them so my students won't have to wait so long in line to use it.
