Valentine's Day

This is my first card for Valentine's Day, where I have stamped on the card front "Happy Heart Day". The background is done using watercolour and water which adds a lot of dimension to the card front.

I did have to glue down some of the hearts to keep them in place, but this was not a big deal.

I added the sentiment to the card front using foam squares and stamped a sentiment inside the card, which I have added to the bottom of this post.

The sentiment picks up on some of the colour in the background of the card front which I think looks so great.

I have to say, I really do like how this turned out, despite how long it took to make! I used Arches cold press watercolour paper to make this card and matched the label to the background.

For my second card I used the same die but changed how I used it, die cutting instead. The card background is the base card colour, with the deep pink being the die front.

The sentiment I stamped again using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.

I also rounded two of the corners on the sentiment to add something tdifferent to the sentiment. Once I was finished with that I attached the sentiment using foam squares.

I also love the look of this card. It is busy with all the hearts but I think it is lots of fun.

To finish this card I stamped the sentiment using the VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne. The translation for the sentiment is "I love you".

Thank you for joining me today. I do hope you have enjoyed these cards and thank you for your visit today.
